* Important tax notes - Cook County Assessors Office. Your primary residence is eligible for the the homeowner's exemption. All you have to do is fill out a half page form in that section on their site. If you are a senior, don’t forget to claim that exemption as well!  You can also get information about appealing your taxes here.
